Hillgrove Hawks Junior Cheer is a feeder program for the Hillgrove Hawks High School in Powder Springs, GA.  We have 6th, 7th, & 8th grade sidelines teams as well as a Large Division Competition Team. 

The purpose of this program is to prepare cheerleaders for the high school cheerleading program. It is a learning program and should teach the cheerleaders the skills that are expected in high school, including cheers, chants, dances, motions, jumps, tumbling, and how to perform at competitions following GHSA rules. The program is in place to support the curricular and extracurricular activities of Hillgrove Hawks Junior Athletic programs. Our philosophy is that cheerleaders are first and foremost ambassadors of their school. Cheerleaders exist to promote good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and wholesome and enthusiastic school spirit. Members of the cheerleading squad will be expected to maintain a high standard of behavior both on and off campus. Cheerleaders are also student athletes and must strive to achieve high standards both academically and physically. Cheerleaders should be respectful to and cooperative with coaches, fellow squad members, peers, teachers, administrators and parents.
